Manny, you've done a great job with this book. I am hugely impressed. But Ning is so powerful that you have to expect that, even after mastering your book, people will want to offer suggestions or put intriguing questions directly to you regarding angles you haven't discussed. I think Ning significantly changed their architecture after this book was published - what the book is telling me I should be seeing on screen bears little resemblance to what I actually see, starting from the beginning of the book...

@ BigJohnNYC: certainly Ning has continued to update their platform since the time the book was published. As a matter of fact, though the book went on sale in April, the writing cut-off date was in February.

There's little that can be done to avoid this when writing technical books. However, I believe there are many chapters in the book where the elements discussed (maybe not all the visuals) hold true, as this was specifically a goal I had to myself as I was writing.
